The wait is over, baby Knowles-Carter is finally here!
Beyonce Knowles Carter gave birth today at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City to a baby girl.
The baby's name is,reportedly, Blue Ivy Carter. That is the name that Jay-Z has been giving friends at this point, however the couple's reps have not confirmed it at this point. For those that have been following the singer/actress throughout her pregnacy perhaps the name does not come as a surprise, and I believe many hints were provided.
This is Bey and Jay's first child. The couple have been married since 2008. Although they have, for the most part, kept their relationship as private as possible, the item were too thrilled to reveal Bey's pregnancy at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.
Social Netowrks have been in a frenzy since news of the highly anticipated birth struck.
Def Jam recording artist Rihanna was among those excited about the birth. She tweeted:

I would like to say, "CONGRATULATIONS BEYONCE & JAY- Z, and WELCOME TO THE WORLD TO THEIR NEW BUNDLE OF JOY" .
